About Centaur (that’s me!)

Well, it’s difficult to talk about yourself and I’m not going to put a lot of boring details about me. I have a number of posts in my News & Stories section, that I describe how I started with leather and make my hobby a full time job, I suggest you take a look there as well.

Currently I live in Patras, Greece, a small city in Peloponnese. My name is Costas but my nickname is Centaur and I’m using it everywhere related with watches, leather etc. It’s always difficult to pick a name but I always liked greek mythology, so I came up pretty quickly with it.

As I mentioned earlier, leather working was my hobby from 2010. After that, for about 4 years nothing (dark ages) and then I realised that this is what I want to do, this is what I love and enjoy. So back to leathers and especially leather watch straps.

I like to make things happen. I like to evolve all my works until I’m satisfied with the result, until it’s perfect to my eyes. Then I will make something else and so it goes. I will never sell or give for free something that I’m not happy with.

I love to use traditional techniques that have been proven over time. But I will always add my personal touches to make them better. I truly admire other people’s work, for me there are no competitors, only people that can take things further. Anyone else will not stand the test of time.

I like to meet new people and I encourage you to send me a message whenever you need help from me or just curious about stuff that I may have some extra knowledge.

All the development of this web page has been done by myself including all the photography. It’s not the easiest thing in the world to design and maintain a web store but I believe I can take care of it, at least for now. If you find anything strange or you have any suggestions for improvement, just send me a message and I will try my best to fix it or improve it.

Last, I would like to thank you all in advance that help me with your support to keep this going, I really appreciate this.

Take care,

Costas
