You don’t have to be a metallurgist to understand the properties of various metals. I like to experiment a lot and making watch buckles from steel and bronze is something relatively new to me. Although I really love the process of working with metals and I’m constantly looking for new methods and tricks to achieve the best result.
Everything is made using hand tools, it doesn’t makes sense to me to use anything else. One single buckle can take me hours to complete and if I’m not satisfied I will continue work on it. I’m also in continuous search for old books about traditional methods to work with metals and improve my techniques.
Currently I have sewn-in handmade buckles both in steel and bronze.
